The Approach
What It's All About
At Elijah Aldridge Photography, it's not just about taking photos—it's about capturing the moments you didn't even realize were happening.
The quick glances. The nervous laughs. The "wait, don't trip walking down the aisle" energy.
I'm here for all of it.
My approach is simple: keep things relaxed, keep things real, and let you actually enjoy your day without feeling like you're stuck in a 6-hour photoshoot (because let's be honest… no one wants that).
I'll guide you when you need it, disappear into the background when you don't, and somehow still catch your best angles—yes, even if you swear you don't have one.
Whether it's a wedding, event, or portrait session, the goal is always the same: Photos that feel like you. Not stiff, not overly posed—just real moments, captured in a way that you'll want to look back on forever.
And don't worry… I'll make sure you look good doing it.

About
Crafting stories through
light and emotion
Hi, I'm Elijah, a Connecticut wedding photographer specializing in cinematic, documentary-style photography.
I photograph weddings, but not in the "let's turn your entire day into a staged production" kind of way.
My approach is rooted in documentary wedding photography, which basically means I pay attention to what's actually happening instead of making you redo moments for the camera. The real stuff, the quick looks, the nervous laughs, the slightly chaotic energy — that's what you'll actually care about later.
I'm not here to create moments. You've already got enough going on.
I'm just here to catch them before they disappear.
As a wedding photographer I work with couples who want their day captured honestly, whether that's a local celebration or a destination wedding. Weddings move fast. Timelines shift, things run late, someone forgets something important...it happens. And honestly, that's usually where the best moments live.
My job is to document it all without turning your wedding into a production.
That said, I won't just leave you standing there wondering what to do with your hands. When you need direction, I'll step in, keep it simple, and make sure you look like yourselves — not like you practiced this in a mirror for two weeks.
You'll end up with wedding photos that feel like your day — natural, unposed, and true to the moment. A mix of candid storytelling and refined imagery that brings you back to how everything actually felt.
Every wedding is different, but my approach stays the same: stay out of the way when it matters, step in when it helps, and photograph everything with intention.
For couples looking for a wedding photographer who values real moments over staged ones. This is what it's all about.
